I have renewed my determination to post on a more regular basis and get stuff "out there" again. So here goes, everyone, I'll be putting some actual artwork here in the near future, and I promised to begin a DeviantArt page as well, so that will be coming soon.

Final glaze for the trunk and branches

Here it is, finished at last!

Here come the flowers and leaves

It was interesting to have an established palette of colors to include in the painting. (The tree had to carry the color elements of the linens for the room) I blocked in the flowers with white for bright color. The flowers' positions determined the positions of everything else, from the leaves to the use of colors in the trunk later, so I had to be careful to plan for that!
